The Home office asked us to brand a new project called the 'Refugee Employability Programme'. This programme will give eligible refugees in England extra support to help them into employment. Getting into work is the first big step they will take towards being settled and self-sufficient in the UK.

Brand, Logo, Typography
The REP brand must be attractive and motivating, so that that audience are inspired to fulfil their aspirations for a new life for themselves and their families.
My creative approach, inspired by the strategy that was developed, was to create an aspirational and bold identity. The logo is a variation of Gotham black. I increased the stroke width, rounded the corners and dropped the x-height, to make it strong and friendly. With the letters being the ratio of a square, they can be stacked vertically. With this new logo type, I introduced a 4 colour-way monotone palette that was positive and accessible. I created a cut out photography style that used the logotype as a window into the future of the refugee.
I had positive feedback from the client on how professional and aspirational it was.
